Job Description

  1. Creation of site layout/user interface from provided design concepts.
  2. Development of robust and user-friendly applications.
  3. Relational database development (MySQL).
  4. Routine maintenance of existing sites and applications.
  5. Problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills.
  6. Write well-designed, testable, scalable, and efficient code by using best software development practices.
  7. Create website layout/user interface.
  8. Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
  9. Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
  10. Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities.

Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of web development, using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, SQL preferred.
  2. Candidates should have proven web programming experience as well as a solid understanding of Object Oriented Design and Programming.
  3. Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  4. Understanding and practical experience with MVC frameworks such as Laravel.
  5. Functional knowledge or hands-on design experience with Web Services (REST) is needed.
  6. A solid understanding of web application development processes, from the layout/user interface to relational database structures.
  7. Strong grasp of security principles.
  8. Must have a strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility, general web functions, and standards.
  9. Understanding the benefits of SEO and the development skills to support SEO are a plus.
  10. Ability to communicate directly with peers and managers.
  11. Strong organization skills to manage multiple timelines and complete tasks quickly within the constraints of projects’ timelines and requirements.

Additional Information:

  1. Schedule: Full-time (Monday-Friday, 9am-5:00pm), on-site.
  2. Benefits: We offer a full benefits package.
  3. Salary: In compliance with the New York City salary transparency requirements, the annual salary for this position ranges from $65,000.00 to $70,000.00, which may be increased upon successful completion of the 90th day introductory period.
