Editorial Content Strategy Intern

Position Summary
Life Time seeks a motivated student or recent graduate to assist in the content creation efforts for our editorial content strategy initiatives. This internship is an opportunity for an individual to take ownership of designated writing and content production assignments for an abbreviated period to help extend and apply their knowledge to meet business goals. The Editorial Content Strategy Intern will focus on creating high-quality content that tells the why of Life Time’s business priorities and expands our thought leadership in the health and wellness space, building trust in members, prospects, and anyone interested in healthy living who encounters the content.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Researching health and wellness topics
- Interviewing internal subject matter experts on specific health and wellness topics/Life Time offerings
- Writing engaging 800–1,500-word articles in a variety of formats (narrative, lists, product descriptions, etc.)
- Editing audio and video content (podcasts, short-form videos, etc.)
- Authoring and optimizing content in content management system (Wordpress)
- Attending team and company meetings and functions as needed
- Assisting in other miscellaneous administrative tasks as needed
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Strong creativity skills across a variety of content types
- Strong knowledge of SEO best practices; familiarity with Wordpress
- Audio and video editing experience a plus
- A passion for Life Time’s mission/active in interest in health and wellness topics
Education:
- Must be enrolled in or a recent graduate of an accredited university/college program
- Ideally pursuing a degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or digital marketing.
- Currently maintaining a GPA of 2.0 or higher
