Position Summary: Blue Note Los Angeles is seeking an experienced and innovative Marketing Director to lead the venue’s marketing efforts. This role is integral in establishing and growing the presence of Blue Note Los Angeles in the competitive entertainment landscape of Southern California. The ideal candidate will have a passion for live music, a deep understanding of the Los Angeles market, and expertise in crafting impactful marketing strategies that drive ticket sales, enhance brand awareness, and foster community connections. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Marketing Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies tailored to the Los Angeles market, promoting concerts, special events, and venue offerings. Align marketing initiatives with the Blue Note Entertainment Group’s overarching vision and goals. Campaign Management: Oversee integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social media, email, and traditional platforms. Optimize campaigns to maximize ticket sales, brand engagement, and return on investment. Brand Management: Establish and maintain the Blue Note Los Angeles brand as a cultural and entertainment destination. Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all touchpoints, collaborating with designers and content creators. Content Creation and Distribution: Direct the production of compelling multimedia content, including artist spotlights, promotional videos, and venue features. Manage the website and social media channels, ensuring they are dynamic, engaging, and up-to-date. Community Engagement: Build partnerships with local businesses, media outlets, and cultural organizations to enhance Blue Note’s visibility and influence in the Los Angeles area. Develop sponsorship and collaborative opportunities aligned with Blue Note’s mission. Analytics and Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on marketing performance metrics to senior leadership. Use insights to refine strategies and drive continuous improvement. Lead, mentor, and inspire the marketing team, fostering creativity and high performance. Collaborate with booking, operations, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of marketing efforts. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. 7+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Demonstrated success in marketing live music events or similar experiences. Deep understanding of the Los Angeles market, including its media landscape and audience preferences. Expertise in digital marketing, analytics, and social media platforms. Exceptional communication and storytelling skills. Passion for live music, culture, and creating memorable audience experiences.
