Overview

Responsible for commercial, sponsorship, and PSA materials and traffic instructions for Free TV Networks. Will also provide quality control for members of the copy team.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities: Commercial Copy
  • Develop and foster good working relationships with advertising agencies for commercial copy and instructions.
  • Work closely with the ad sales team, log team, commercial clearance, media management, and the promo team.
  • Solicit commercial and PSA materials from advertising agencies and other media providers to facilitate their delivery to master control.
  • Enter revised agency instructions in a timely manner.
  • Maintain agency instruction files for reference.
  • Create log change form when needed.
  • Manage the daily dub list and purge list as needed.
  • Act as the main contact for master control for non-program content.

Secondary Responsibilities: Copy Quality Control
  • Double check all copy entries and agency instructions daily for accuracy.
  • Track errors and be able to predict pitfalls then recommend new processes for as needed.
  • Be able to QC using WO Network as much as possible.
  • Communication with team members and managers is essential.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Work Environment

Work in office three days per week and work remotely two days per week. Normal office environment.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in WideOrbit traffic systems preferred.
  • Must demonstrate a clear understanding of copy and traffic.
  • 3-5 years of television copy/traffic experience preferred.
  • Must be meticulous and detail oriented.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment and work independently on project-oriented tasks.
  • Ability to adhere to tight daily deadlines without compromising quality; analyze data thoroughly to make sound decisions; embrace new ideas through expression and presentation.
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to multi-task.
  • Proficiency with MS Office required.
