The Savannah Ghost Pirates are looking for a Broadcasting & Media Relations Intern for the remainder of the 2024-25 ECHL Season. Interns will assist the Broadcasting & Media Relations Department with game-day communications & operations, while contributing to road game coverage remotely. The ideal candidate for this internship must have a passion for broadcasting, but also a desire to write, shoot/edit video, create content, and learn other duties as assigned. NOTE** Applicant(s) must live in Savannah or be able to reliably commute to Ghost Pirates home games and practices

  • Assisting with the set-up and tear-down of our broadcast equipment and press box for all remaining home games in the 2024-25 regular season
  • Collaborate with the Director of Broadcasting and Communications to develop engaging video content tailored for our fanbase
  • Assist in editing, producing and posting post-game highlights for each Ghost Pirates home game
  • Help to craft game recaps and player stories to be published on the Ghost Pirates website and social media platforms
  • Supplying game notes, media kits, and other materials for media members for all remaining home games
  • Assist in organizing and managing a library of player & sales-oriented photos, and footage. This includes categorizing, tagging, and ensuring accessibility of media assets for promotional/sales purposes.
  • Operating the Maginifi platform to cut clips in-game, both at home, and on the road
  • Ability to live-tweet and post-game-clips on X/Twitter, for all remaining regular-season games
  • Conduct interviews with players and coaches alongside the Director of Broadcasting and Communications before and after games for future use within our broadcast and social media

Objective/GoalsThis internship will provide hands-on experience in the realm of professional sports social media, broadcasting, and media relations. Interns will become knowledgeable in all three sectors. The right candidate could have the opportunity to take part in contributing to Ghost Pirates broadcasts on WJCL 22, Mixlr and FloSports.
