Job Summary
The Associate - Media Relations works as Matchday Event Staff assisting the communications department in all aspects of matchdays, which includes press box management, photo marshaling, media will call, and other duties.
Primary Responsibilities:
•Assist in distributing, managing, and logging credentials to all media attending Charlotte FC home games.
•Assist in providing media relations support for all Charlotte FC home games.
•Assist in setup, teardown, and management of media operations spaces, including press conference room, press box, field photography areas and photo work room.
•Assist in post-match press syndications and transcriptions.
•Assist with other duties as needed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
•Prior internships, volunteer work, or any work experience in Public Relations, Communications, Sport Management or related field is preferred.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of media contacts.
•Must be available to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
Essential Functions
•Ability to meet the physical demands of the job which include lifting (up to 25 lbs.), standing, stooping, and walking for an extended period of time.
•Ability to work indoors and in outdoor stadium environments which may include inclement weather.
