The

Senior Director of Marketing and Communications

is responsible for leading the formulation and execution of marketing and communication strategies that enhance engagement and understanding among various audiences, both internal and external. This role involves overseeing various specialized marketing and communication initiatives, providing expertise in media relations, employee communications, community relations, and advertising. The Senior Director will work diligently to foster support for the organization's mission, accomplishments, and crucial relationships. Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in marketing and communications; a Master's degree may substitute for 2 years of experience. Bachelor's degree in a related field. Strong background in communication, public relations, and marketing campaigns. Job Function Contribute creatively as a member of the System Marketing team, providing innovative ideas for marketing strategies. Establish and maintain positive relationships with print and electronic media representatives. Research, write, and disseminate press materials to ensure fair media coverage of the organization. Develop and implement proactive media relations strategies. Respond to media inquiries and requests for information promptly and professionally. Ensure media representatives are properly escorted during interviews and tapings within the facility. Serve as a media liaison during emergency situations, such as hospital codes or Command Center activations. Stay informed on healthcare issues relevant to the organization and their potential impacts. Understand and adhere to policies regarding marketing and communications activities, prioritizing privacy and information release protocols. Create opportunities for the organization to communicate effectively with the community. Collaborate with local operational leaders to plan and implement community outreach events such as education sessions, fairs, and health screenings. Work closely with the System Marketing team and local leadership to meet organizational objectives. Manage social media activities that align with system goals while representing local market initiatives. Ensure meaningful engagement through effective communication channels for employees. Develop employee communication strategies to help team members thrive as ambassadors for the health system. Partner with the System Internal Communications team to meet both system-wide and local communication needs. Represent the department in various service groups and community organizations. Support executive messaging and presentation opportunities, as well as spokesperson duties. Collaborate closely with the System MarComm team and the Chief Marketing Officer to maintain consistent messaging and engagement across all audiences. Assist in the planning and execution of advertising strategies with the system team. Organize daily tasks efficiently, considering time constraints for all stakeholders. Oversee the development and maintenance of web-based electronic content. Uphold confidentiality regarding employee and patient records, exercising discretion in all discussions. Lead and manage a dedicated market-based team, ensuring alignment with the broader System MarComm objectives. Other duties as assigned.
