The A.C.Coy Company has an immediate opening for an IT Manager – Telecommunications with pivotal role in managing, leading, and collaborating with a diverse team of telecommunications professionals, both on-site and remotely. Responsibilities include overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of telecommunications systems to support our clients operational efficiency and support quality outcomes. The IT Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring telecommunications solutions align with healthcare objectives, leading projects, and serving as an escalation point for complex issues. Their leadership is crucial for mentoring and developing team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with telecommunications regulations in a matrixed organization. This requires onsite representation either in northern or southern West Virginia.
Responsibilities
Manage the budget for assigned areas, allocate funds, and prepare budget recommendations based on business objectives
Contributes to strategic organizational initiatives
Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and departmental standards for staff development, training, and orientations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT solutions with business needs
Manage incidents, service requests, "run and maintain," and projects with a focus on timely delivery and quality standards
Serve as an escalation point for complex IT issues, efficiently troubleshooting and resolving problems
Promote an environment that fosters a collaborative and learning-focused culture
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, making informed recommendations
Adhere to and promote the organization's cybersecurity policies and industry best practices in performing job duties
Manage and maintain call schedules
Proactively identify potential challenges and barriers
Be on call as required, undertake any other duties as assigned
Support the designated IT leader by analyzing team performance against published SLAs and ensuring standards are met
Initiate and lead the contract review process, actively participating in negotiations with vendors
Resolve resource management/allocation conflicts
Effectively communicate based on the audience and their level of understanding, including propagation of key messages to internal team members.
Manage personnel lifecycle, encompassing interviews, hires, and training for new employees. Additionally, conduct annual performance reviews, set SMART goals, and provide constructive feedback. Implement performance improvement plans, including progressive disciplinary actions as necessary
Oversee and support daily operations for a team of IT professionals. Collaborate with IT Leadership, vendors, and external partners to evaluate and implement technologies aligned with priorities and standards, ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare IT policies and procedures
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the telecommunications field with at least 2 years in a leadership role
Healthcare IT experience preferred
Manage and maintain both Avaya and Cisco telephone systems, ensuring seamless communication across the client organization
