Job Description

The Director will be responsible for the strategy and execution of LYBALVI Consumer Marketing activities supporting the bipolar 1 disorder and schizophrenia indications of LYBALVI. This includes Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) strategy, media plan, content development, and analysis. The position requires an experienced and highly motivated individual with strong strategic and leadership capabilities.

Alkermes has recently adopted a hybrid working environment to support and meet the needs of employees and this role will operate in a flexible environment with 60% of time in the office and 40% from home.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities Include:
  • Leads development of the strategy, planning, and execution of Consumer Marketing, including annual brand planning
  • Leads development of the strategy, content, media plan, analysis and optimization for the DTC campaign
  • Leads Consumer marketing team (2) providing direction, coaching, and development of staff
  • Understands the trends in bipolar 1 disorder and schizophrenia, drivers of consumer behavior, and how to reach and engage Serious Mental Illness (SMI) patients
  • Directs and manages agency partners through the development of branded online and offline material including TV, digital and print advertising collateral
  • Directs and manages media agency to ensure optimal placement of DTC assets
  • Directs and manages the Consumer marketing budget, including Statement of Work (SOW) and change orders, accruals, and budget forecasting
  • Works with cross functional team to forecast, analyze, and optimize DTC spend
  • Provides input and direction to market research while guiding application of insights from Consumer research studies
Qualifications

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or science
  • 12+ years of experience with positions of increasing responsibility
Preferred Skill and Knowledge Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of product management/marketing experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry Consumer & Digital Marketing experience
  • Strong people and agency management experience
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Ability to develop strategy and communicate upwards
  • Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
