Job Title: Public Relations Assistant

Reports To: Public Relations Manager

Position Summary:
The Public Relations Assistant supports the Public Relations (PR) team in developing and executing communication strategies to enhance the organization’s reputation, increase brand awareness, and manage its public image. This role involves coordinating media outreach, preparing promotional materials, and assisting with event planning and administrative tasks.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Media Relations:

    • Assist in drafting press releases, media pitches, and other communication materials.
    • Maintain and update media contact lists and databases.
    • Coordinate media inquiries and facilitate interviews.
  2. Event Coordination:

    • Assist in organizing press events, product launches, and community outreach initiatives.
    • Coordinate event logistics, including venue setup, attendee management, and follow-up activities.
  3. Monitoring and Reporting:

    • Monitor media coverage and compile reports on PR campaign performance.
    • Track industry trends, competitor activities, and public sentiment relevant to the organization.
  4. Administrative Support:

    • Schedule meetings, take minutes, and prepare presentation materials for the PR team.
    • Manage PR calendars, deadlines, and project timelines.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and tools.
  • Knowledge of media monitoring tools (e.g., Meltwater, Cision) is a plus.
