Cielo Executive Search on behalf of a Publicly Traded Client is seeking an innovative and strategic Head of Sales & Marketing (Remote) ideally near Charlotte, NC
Reporting to the President this leader will serve as the revenue operational leader across markets, driving sales growth, commercial performance, and business health. With direct P&L responsibility, you will oversee all commercial functions, including Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Technical Service, and Portfolio Management.
This is a transformation role. You will develop and execute a winning sales strategy, optimize resource deployment, cultivate new sales approaches, and penetrate new market segments.
More specifically, this role will accelerate profitable top-line growth by: leading a high-performing team of sales professionals across various functions and Market GM's leading product marketing. Lead the development and execution of a winning global marketing strategy delivering revenue and profitability goals. Advance the product portfolio – allocating resources to ensure we have a market leading, cost-effective portfolio – inclusive of pricing strategy, product development, promotional strategy Be a key contributor in develop and execution of long-term strategy Lead, manage, and motivate a high-performing sales team; actively coach and develop talent Develop and grow capabilities to produce high quality leads and sales opportunities Collaborate with sales, Innovation &Development, and supply chain to ensure alignment with marketing
Additionally, as a change champion, proactively advocating for change, knocking down barriers, and facilitating thoughtful conversations to help your team understand the benefits of being solution creators. You will drive transformation through growth by accelerating automation, sustainability, and digital initiatives to expand our product offerings over the next 3 years.
Heavy collaboration is needed with cross-functional vertical leaders in Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, Commercial Excellence, and the People organization to ensure priorities are aligned and to deliver annual business plans that drive growth.

You should: Come from businesses that have multiple product lines, more complex /demanding in nature; portfolio management with competing priorities and disparate sales and marketing groups
Successfully implemented / help implement CRM / Lead generation / lead nurturing
Bring 10 years in a commercial role within a large, global, manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of the packaging and materials industry, including market trends, regulations, and customer preferences.
Have proven success in commercial strategy creation and execution at scale, customer and relationship management expertise, and the ability to motivate and lead employees while driving accountability.
Have demonstrated financial acumen, including budget management, financial monitoring, and the ability to develop and achieve financial plans.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
Bring experience in transforming a sales organization to one that is more value-added focused, with rigor in sales process, systems, KPI management, and setting monitoring mechanisms.
Specifically, you need to highlight: -complex sales experience from b2b, manufacturing / machine / technical sales -including having ran both sales teams nationally (global feel) and global product marketing / strategic marketing experience (product experience, -as well as pricing and product strategy development). -Marketing both consumables an equipment (and successfully tying the two together) and Marketing premium / value-based products (not commodities). -Involved with businesses that have multiple product lines, more complex /demanding in nature; portfolio management with competing priorities, capex and Innovation and Development needs. (Ideally you can demonstrate role you played across all.)
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is required; an MBA is preferred but not required.
Experience with Salesforce and PowerBI is highly preferred.
