Interior Design Project Manager

The Interior Design Project Manager will support firm projects throughout all phases to ensure overall efficiencies and project execution. This role will collaborate with design team members and clients, plot furniture layouts, coordinate contractors, and manage on-site project installations and updates to ensure the project aligns with the client’s vision and requirements. This is an exciting opportunity for an Interior Design Project Manager to impact the design project all while leveraging their expertise in luxurious residential.
Key Role Responsibilities Support multiple interior design projects simultaneously. Work closely with team members, vendors, contractors, and clients when needed to ensure project execution at all stages. Organize and prioritize request (client and vendors); ensuring action is taken in a timely manner and when appropriate. Manage project timelines, client feedback, and vendor/subcontractor communication. Coordinate and oversee on-site walkthroughs, including electrical and trim planning and lighting placement. Coordinate the selections of hard materials such as tile, counter tops, and kitchen details. Coordinate schedules and communicate directly with subcontractors, including wallpaper installers, electricians, painters, and carpenters, to ensure seamless project execution. Oversee logistics for storage and deliveries, including scheduling and quality control for furniture and material installations. Troubleshoot issues on-site and serve as a liaison between subcontractors, clients, and the design team to keep projects running smoothly. Provide technical coordination by plotting furniture layouts in AutoCAD and collaborate with the design tam to ensure technical accuracy in project planning. Ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards. Being adaptable to support the team where needed, leveraging your unique skills and passions.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in interior design or related field preferred A minimum of 4 years prior experience in the interior design field with strong project management skills is required Proven track record of successfully managing multiple interior design projects. Experience with design software like AutoCAD and Studio Designer; familiarity with other project management software is beneficial In-depth knowledge of interior design principles, materials, and construction techniques is necessary to guide the project and make informed decisions. Excellent communication skills are vital for interacting with clients, design team members, contractors, and other stakeholders A creative mindset is important for generating innovative ideas and solutions that meet the client's needs and preferences The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously is crucial for keeping the project on track and ensuring timely completion Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent in making quick decisions to overcome obstacles Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients is essential. This includes understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and ensuring overall client satisfaction.
