MAU is hiring a Tooling and Fixture Designer for our client in Greenville, SC.
As a
Tooling and Fixture Designer
you will utilize your extensive experience in NX design to support various projects, collaborating closely with mechanical engineers, toolmakers, programmers, and other stakeholders to design and enhance fixtures, gages, and 3D models across.
This is a contract, long-term assignment.

Shift Information: Monday to Friday | 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Required Education and Experience: A 2-year drafting/mechanical design degree or 4-year mechanical engineering degree is preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience using NX for modeling and drafting Experience in Power Generation or Aerospace industries is a plus Experience with PLM systems is preferred
General Requirements: Familiarity with machine shop fixtures and work-holding techniques Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems preferred Understanding of metal fabrication and welding processes is a plus Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Essential Functions: Develop and update NX CAD models and drawings for fixtures, gages, assembly tooling, production aids, and other components Apply GD&T best practices to ensure designs are precise, manufacturable, and meet all technical requirements Collaborate effectively within a matrixed organization, communicating clearly while working both independently and as part of a team Contribute to design reviews and problem-solving sessions, offering innovative solutions that drive continuous improvement Stay current with the latest NX software versions (NX12 or higher) to maintain efficient and optimal design practices Maintain a strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work outputs Demonstrate excellent communication skills, engaging actively with team members to share insights and project updates
