Position Overview: As a Social Media and Community Engagement Intern, you will be responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of social media strategies to enhance our brand visibility, engage with our community both online and offline, and promote our events. This role requires a creative and analytical thinker who is passionate about social media, community involvement, and event management. Responsibilities: Assist in managing and scheduling daily social media posts across various platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Monitor social media channels for trending news and ideas, and recommend adjustments to the social media marketing strategy as needed. Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and customer inquiries in a timely manner. Help organize and participate in community events and initiatives to promote brand awareness and strengthen community relations. Collaborate with community partners to develop and implement strategies for community involvement that enhance outreach and event attendance. Work closely with the marketing team to create and disseminate engaging content, such as graphics, videos, and blog posts, tailored to specific community events and promotions. Analyze social media performance using tools like Google Analytics and social media management tools to generate reports on metrics, and provide insights to improve strategies. Research and identify new trends and best practices in social media, community engagement, and event promotion. Assist in the coordination and promotion of company events, ensuring high levels of community participation and engagement. Qualifications: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor’s degree program in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. Familiarity with social media platforms and social media management tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Creative thinker with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions.
