Position: Creative Services Coordinator
Department: Visual Communications
Position Type: Part-Time, 20-25 hours/week
Location: Baker Publishing Group, Ada, MI
Overview:
The Visual Communications Creative Services Coordinator position encompasses a range of administrative and marketing support duties related to the daily operations of the VisComm design department. The Coordinator is the "gatekeeper" for many marketing projects and will interact with the marketing and sales teams to ensure all marketing and advertising projects are delivered on time and on budget.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Using Asana: intake, prioritize, assign, and track all marketing projects to ensure that they move along from start to completion
- Manage the flow of incoming projects, work with the marketing designers in maintaining project timelines and information
- Provide daily communications to appropriate teams about project status and be the liaison between departments when any project clarification is needed
- Input costs from VisComm corporate credit card into Certify monthly and code invoices in Medius as they come in.
- Oversee print purchasing from outside print and materials vendors
- Assist designers as needed
Knowledge & Skills:
This position is deadline driven, which requires the ideal candidate to be highly organized and work well with different personalities in a fast-paced environment. Must be skilled at frequent task switching, an excellent self-starter, and can quickly resolve timeline and deadline conflicts. This position also requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong computer skills.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Marketing Production/Traffic Coordinator in an art department or marketing department helpful. Willing to train qualified candidate.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow and track multiple projects at one time
- Must be computer literate (proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat). Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
