Primary Purpose: Under the direction of the Digital Media Production Manager, the Multimedia Design Specialist is a key player in the conception, creation, and delivery of compelling video, audio, and visual elements and produces projects that raise the profile of CHEST. They guide the conceptualization of multimedia approaches for marketing and communications, including but not limited to websites, digital communications, social media, and other e-learning resources. Essential Functions/Responsibilities: Demonstrate a passion for crushing lung disease and embody CHEST values: honor the team, lead with integrity, leverage passion, cultivate innovation, and have serious fun. Oversee the design, development, and delivery of multimedia content for Marketing/Communications/Publishing teams, including the following: podcasts, webinars, documentary-style, demonstration and promotional videos, interviews, and other multimedia assets for a variety of digital platforms and social media channels. Work collaboratively within a creative team, taking the lead role in all aspects of multimedia production, including conception, art direction, scripting and script to screen, shoot logistics, editing, light color correcting, caption management, and adapting multiple versions to different distribution platforms. Serve as point person on quick-turn video requests, providing streaming links, thumbnails, captions/subtitles, and light-touch editing Provide production support for event-based live streaming, podcast recordings, and other virtual recording sessions. Collaborate on the review of media performance analytics across channels to inform future design processes and creative strategies In conjunction with your supervisor, oversee the preservation, maintenance, uploading, and archiving of all media assets on Vimeo and NAS systems Assist in the management/maintenance of all audio and video equipment inside and outside the studio. Provide back-up support on social media asset design using both video and some graphic design skills. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in communications, video production, media design, or related field. 2 years' experience preferred in video production, digital content development and production for promotional, educational, or informational purposes, Experience with AV production workflows and the creative process in various contexts. Working knowledge and experience with 4K cameras, lighting, and audio equipment is required. Proficient in the use of Adobe Creative Suite in a Mac environment, including Premiere Pro, Audition, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Media Encoder. Demonstrated ability to translate complex ideas into informative, easy-to-understand visuals. An advanced understanding of communication, design, and story-telling principles (i.e. composition, color, contrast, attention management, cognitive vs emotional messaging, etc.) Strong written and verbal communication skills, listening skills, and critical/flexible thinking skills are a must. Experience with building interactive learning modules and animation is a plus. Ability to safely move up to 50 lbs. of equipment in the context of video shoots and other live events as needed. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, or other items.
