A talented Concept Artist with a strong focus on character design and wardrobe development is needed to join our AR project team. This role involves creating compelling and visually detailed concept art that serves as a blueprint for 3D modelers and meets client expectations for high-quality reviews. This role is essential in bridging the gap between creative vision and 3D execution, ensuring every character design is not only visually stunning and production-ready but also polished for client approval, meeting the standards of high-profile clients before handoff to 3D modeling.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and illustrate characters, including detailed wardrobe and accessories, aligning with art direction and project goals.
  2. Develop polished and presentation-ready concept art for client reviews and approvals.
  3. Collaborate closely with 3D modelers to ensure designs are feasible for production while maintaining artistic integrity.
  4. Conduct research and gather references to create designs that are visually distinctive and aligned with the project’s vision and style.
  5. Iterate on feedback from internal teams and clients to refine and finalize character concepts.

Skills and Experience:

  1. Strong portfolio showcasing character design and wardrobe expertise, with a range of styles and approaches.
  2. Proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Photoshop, Procreate, or equivalent digital painting software.
  3. Experience working collaboratively with creative teams to seamlessly hand off 2D concepts to 3D teams, ensuring designs are accurately translated into production-ready 3D models.
  4. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to create polished, presentation-ready artwork.
  5. Strong understanding of anatomy, fabric rendering, and character storytelling through design.
