PlanSource is seeking a Content Marketing Specialist who will play a critical role in positioning PlanSource as an industry leader by executing an integrated content strategy that aligns with overall company growth objectives. The content marketing specialist will support the broader marketing team by creating high-quality, engaging content that attracts, engages, and converts targeted audiences.
The Content Marketing Specialist will report directly to the VP, Product Marketing and work closely with the content and campaign strategist. This person will possess a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to identifying and suggesting opportunities to engage key audiences and build brand awareness.
Responsibilities Include:
- Brand Management: Understanding and upholding brand standards across all marketing and client development materials (Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Content Strategy: Supporting the broader marketing team in developing and executing a content strategy aligned with overall business and marketing goals.
- Content Creation: Creating high-quality content in various formats including blogs, emails, social media, whitepapers, and external presentations.
- Content Distribution: Distributing content through various channels such as social media and email marketing to accelerate engagement with our key audiences.
- Content Optimization: Tracking and analyzing key metrics to measure content performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Collaboration: Working cross-functionally with product experts, SMEs, and external partners, along with other members of the marketing team to ensure high quality and engaging content.
- Staying Up to Date: Regularly researching relevant subject matter to increase domain expertise as well as understand key trends in content marketing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Necessary Strengths, Skills, and Competencies:
- BA/BS degree in Journalism, Communications, Technical Marketing, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience with Content Marketing within a SaaS organization.
- General knowledge of digital marketing (i.e., Paid Search, social media, Email, and SEO) and key platforms and trends (i.e., desktop, mobile, video).
- Proficient in editing and proofreading content with the ability to provide constructive feedback.
- Foundational knowledge of SEO basics & best practices.
- Experience with Google Analytics, G Suite, SEMrush, Adobe Analytics, MS Office, Asana, and Google Apps would be a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, with an ability to turn data into action-oriented decisions.
- Meticulous attention to detail with outstanding proofreading, fact-checking, and editing skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adhere to project deadlines.
- Self-motivated and able to work well both individually and in a highly collaborative environment.
