Our work makes a clear contribution to society and the environment around us. We build in many different verticals. Skanska USA Building Inc. (Skanska) is looking for a full-time proposal writer to join our Technical Writing team, which is part of our larger Marketing team. In this role, you’ll partner with marketers, operations personnel, and other team members across the U.S. to help Skanska win new construction projects through creative and compelling proposals. If you enjoy writing and have technical writing, communications, marketing, or public relations experience, this role may be a perfect fit. You’ll shine in this role if:
- You’re an excellent writer with a strong command of grammar and mechanics.
- You’re able to communicate fine, technical details without losing sight of the bigger picture.
- There’s never a process too complex or an idea too big—in fact, distilling them into engaging, understandable content is challenging and fun.
- You’re a natural storyteller (and you know that there’s always a story to tell).
Proposal Writer Required Qualifications:
- 3+ Years experience in a technical/proposal editing/writing role or similar capacity.
- 3+ years of proven exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Must live in New York City.
- Bachelor’s Degree – journalism, English, communications or a related discipline or equivalent experience and minimum 7 years prior relevant experience.
Our Investment in you:
- We believe that benefits should connect you to the support you need when it matters most, and should help you care for those who matter most. That’s why we provide an array of options (including medical, dental, and vision insurance plans), expert guidance, and always-on tools, that are personalized to meet the needs of your reality – to help support you physically, financially, and emotionally through the big milestones and in your everyday life.
- As a Skanska community, our values ground us, and our diversity of experience propels us forward. No matter what your career stage, there’s a place for you to thrive here and partner with us in shaping how our world lives, moves, and connects.
- At Skanska, we Care for Life. And we’re committed to supporting your whole health and peace of mind through inclusive and personalized total rewards.
- We’re committed to your success by developing you in your role and supporting your career growth.
- Compensation and financial well-being– Competitive base salary, excellent bonus program, 401k, & Employee ownership program.
