Summary of Job Duties:

The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, and preparing grant proposals, applications, and reports. You will work closely with faculty from various departments to gather necessary information and ensure compliance with grant requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in grant writing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Public Administration, or a related STEM field from an accredited institution of higher education
  2. At least one year of experience in grant writing

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution of higher education
  2. At least 5 years of experience in grant writing in institutions of higher education

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and compelling proposals
  2. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with faculty and staff
  4. Ability to ensure accuracy and compliance with grant requirements by practicing meticulous attention to detail
  5. Knowledge of a variety of funding sources, including federal and state agencies, private foundations, and corporate sponsors
  6. Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners

Additional Information:

Salary Information:

$61,000 to $65,000 commensurate with education and experience
