WLFI TV – Morning Anchor/Multiplatform Journalist

WLFI-TV is seeking a Morning Anchor / Multiplatform Journalist.

Daily tasks include:

1. Anchoring Morning Newscasts
2. Generating local stories
3. Shooting interviews and compelling video
4. Promotions
5. Writing and editing stories for broadcast and web

Applicants must have strong camera presence, solid vocal delivery, clear enunciation, and the ability to relate to viewers. This position requires:

1. Strong reporting and producing skills
2. The ability to develop local contacts
3. The ability to shoot and edit video
4. Clear writing
5. Good use of video and sound in storytelling
6. The ability to write and post stories to the WLFI website

Must be able to handle equipment needed to perform the daily duties of news gathering for a multi-platform, multi-tasking job.

Minimum Requirements:

1. 1 year of broadcast television news experience
2. 4-year college degree in broadcast news
3. A good driving record
4. A valid driver’s license
