Laser Talent Group is hiring: Sr. Art Director/Designer in New York

The foremost luxury art and fashion book publishing company seeks an Art Director or Sr. Art Director to work in their Murray Hill location in NYC five days a week in-office.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Creative Director on approximately 20 luxury book projects per year.

• Collaborate with editors and publishers throughout the book creation process.

• Create templates, design layouts, and manage project timelines.

• Oversee and instruct designers on project execution.

• Direct in-house photo/video shoots.

• Conduct art and image research.

• Prepare files for reprints.

• Liaise with other departments (editorial, communications, production).

• Understand book production processes and issues.

• Archive completed files for reprint updates.

• Attend weekly status meetings.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 7+ years of print experience, with luxury industry experience preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of offset print production.

• Excellent aesthetic design sense and typography skills.

• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Strong communication skills for articulating design concepts.

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• Ability to prioritize and multi-task.

• Proficient in Mac OS and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
