Meridell Achievement Center is seeking a MUSIC/ART PROGRAM SPECIALIST to join its fun and energetic Recreation Therapy department!
The ideal candidate must be dependable, detail-oriented, organized, able to meet assigned deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Meridell Achievement Center is a nationally recognized 134-bed private residential treatment facility that specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents who have emotional, behavioral, and neurobehavioral problems. Our mission is to provide gender affirming traditional behavioral and neurobehavioral programs for youths aged 11 to 17.
The Music/Art Program Specialist is a key member of the Recreation Therapy team who is responsible for providing music and art activities for pediatric psychiatric patients.

Schedule:
- Saturday 9am - 6pm

Qualifications
- Certified Recreational Therapist or Master's level Licensed Social Worker or Counselor
- Availability – Saturdays, 9am-6pm, to provide group therapy to a diverse population of youth (may require some weekday hours periodically to support recreational therapist/clinical team)
- Must love animals
- Experience working with children and/or adolescents with mental health needs is preferred
- Valid Class C Driver's License (with good driving record)
- Must possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
- Must be able to meet physical demands of lifting and moving over 50 pounds, walking and standing for long periods of time, and running for short periods of time
