The Therapist will provide art, music and therapeutic recreation services to the patients, including provision of direct therapy, evaluative activities, and coordination of hospital-wide activities. Qualifications
EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor's and/or Master's level degree from an accredited college/university in a Therapeutic Recreation program, Art or Music.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION: Required: Certification with NCTRC, CTRS, MT-BC, and ATR in Texas.
EXPERIENCE: Preferred: One year experience working with child, adolescent and adult populations. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Able to lift 50 pounds with frequent lifting and carrying of object weighing up to 25 lbs. Physically fit to demonstrate and conduct recreation activities for patients. Physical ability to restrain patients through use of hospital approved methods.
