Job Summary
The Audio-Visual Integration Technician is responsible for (1) pulling and terminating cables; (2) understanding cable flow and installation; (3) installing equipment and wall rack equipment by reading wire diagrams; and (4) programming proprietary equipment for the Company’s clients.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Dress, label, pull, cut and terminate cables.
  2. Install, connect, and manage video routers and switches.
  3. Installation of cameras.
  4. Identify cable types including, but not limited to: SVID, Composite, RBGHV CAT 5, CAT 6, SDI, Fiber, HDMI, DVI.
  5. Mount and dress displays of various sizes including wall panels.
  6. Program various equipment.
  7. Troubleshoot complex audio-video equipment for clients.
  8. Manage inventory of repair and replacement parts including the recording of serial model numbers.
  9. Complete and update daily reports, project photos, timecards, and project status.
  10. Partner with co-workers and management to provide world-class customer service to clients.
  11. Complete all assigned projects in a high-quality manner and in compliance with scopes of project assignment.
  12. Adhere to company Mission, Vision, and Values.
  13. Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability

  1. Proficient with voltage meter, soldering iron, tone generator, multimeter, cable toners, stripping cables, and network cable testers.
  2. Ability to dress racks.
  3. Ability to read, interpret, and communicate reflected ceiling plans, elevation drawings, and room flow diagrams.
  4. Ability to identify and understand various source plates.
  5. Knowledge of basics of AC/D voltage.
  6. Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to use various web-based portals.
  7. Ability to fit into tight spaces including ceiling access panels, closets, and interstitial spaces.
  8. Ability to quickly learn new computer programs and operate mobile devices.
  9. Ability to make sound decisions and escalate matters quickly and efficiently.
  10. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.

Qualification Standards

Education
High School Diploma, technical trade school or equivalent.

Experience
Minimum of two years of experience in an audio-video integration technical environment.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment
The primary working environment is an indoor medical setting. This role requires 100% travel to reach project locations. Employees working in hazardous conditions and areas are required to comply with all applicable safety provisions and to use PPE.

This position is subject to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions. The position is also subject to noise that may cause the worker to shout to be heard above ambient noise level. The worker is subject to hazards, including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat, or exposure to chemicals. The worker is subject to vibration and oscillating movements of the extremities or whole body.

The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; and extensive reading.

Compensation and Benefits
$25.00 - $30.00 based on experience.
