The Audio & Visual Technician performs configuration, installation, and/or repairs of PC hardware and peripherals according to established procedures.

  • Pay Rate: $30.00/hour
  • Assignment Length: 3 months with the high possibility of extension based on performance and other factors.
  • Shift Details: Monday - Friday | 7:00am - 4:00pm or 8:00am-5:00pm

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Setup and Support: Install, configure, and maintain audio-visual equipment including projectors, microphones, speakers, displays, and video conferencing systems. Provide technical support during meetings, events, and presentations to ensure optimal performance.
  • Event Coordination: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand event requirements and provide recommendations for AV setups. Coordinate with external vendors when necessary to ensure all AV needs are met for company events, conferences, and presentations.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to AV equipment promptly. Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure all AV systems are functioning correctly and perform repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of audio and visual output meets company standards and expectations. Conduct tests and inspections of AV equipment to identify any issues and implement solutions to enhance performance.
  • Documentation and Training: Maintain accurate records of AV inventory, configurations, and maintenance schedules. Develop user guides and training materials to educate employees on the proper use of AV equipment and troubleshoot common issues independently.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an AV Technician or similar role, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting audio-visual equipment such as projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing systems.
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours to support events and meetings as required.
  • Certification in audio-visual technology or related field is a plus.
  • Experience with Teams meeting rooms and Crestron equipment desired.
