The Audio-Visual Business Development Representative II will help reach people in the marketplace, meet and develop relationships with decision makers and influencers in the accounts on behalf of Solotech.

Your day will look like this:

  1. Identifying AV integration opportunities
  2. Developing relationships with personnel involved with the audiovisual investment
  3. Creating a dialogue to lead investor/associated parties down a clear, concise path
  4. Performing needs assessment
  5. Developing a budget
  6. Estimating and/or taking off project drawings
  7. Reviewing project specifications
  8. Completing and pricing applicable spreadsheets/sales software
  9. Preparing scope of work
  10. Writing Executive Summary
  11. Negotiating the project and securing the work
  12. Visiting the project and reviewing the conditions
  13. Preparing and processing orders/change orders
  14. Collecting the money due
  15. Recapping commission reports and filling in
  16. Assisting with reasonable management duties
  17. All normal duties necessary to assure the success of the project and company
  18. Complete customer requests accurately and timely
  19. Participate actively in internal sales meetings
  20. Provide historical records by maintaining documentation and correspondence throughout the sales process
  21. Recommend changes in products or service by evaluating results and competitive developments

Your profile:

Education:

  1. College Degree in Business Administration or Engineering preferably

Experience:

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience selling AV Integration
  2. Experience using Salesforce
  3. Low or High Voltage construction experience preferred

Knowledge:

  1. Good knowledge of Office 365 (Excel, Word)

  2. Capability to translate complex details into a simple language that anyone can understand
  3. Ability to multi-task with a sense of calm resolve
  4. Great discretion, concern for confidentiality
  5. Ability to solve complicated problems
  6. Thoroughness and attention to detail
  7. Well-developed organizational skills
  8. Demonstrate ability to work well with clients (internal and external)
  9. Adapt to change easily
  10. Ability to work independently and within a team

Work Requirements:

  1. Time will be spent in an office settings
  2. Typical workweeks standard 40 hours.
  3. Environment may be fast paced.
