Student - Esports Broadcast Manager

The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a student employee to fill the role of Esports Broadcast Manager. This position will act as the student leader for the SNHU Esports broadcast team. It will be responsible for all broadcasts as well as archival footage.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Lead the SNHU Esports Broadcast Team.
2. Strong technical skills and experience with audio/visual hardware and software.
3. Operation of the SNHU Esports Twitch and/or Youtube stream.
4. Schedule for weekly broadcasts.
5. Preparation and operation of live events.
6. Teach new team members skills required for their roles.
7. Maintain software and hardware settings requisite for successful broadcasts.
8. Introduce Students, Faculty, and Staff to the arena and explain our mission, goal, and program.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Enrollment in an Undergraduate program at SNHU.
2. Strong information technology skills including Windows 10, gaming and peripheral software, and user administration software.
3. Proficiency with streaming/broadcasting hardware and software.
4. Knowledge of broadcast principles.
5. Must be reliable and punctual.
6. Respectfulness and exceptional communication skills.
7. Work Study as part of financial aid package.
8. Customer Service Mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Familiarity with collegiate esports.
2. Knowledge of technology utilized in esports broadcasting (Discord, Game Platforms, Windows, Peripherals, Vmix, OBS).
3. Customer Service Experience.

Compensation:

The hourly pay range for this position is $12.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
