Culture Studio is seeking an extremely motivated and accountable individual to join our Embroidery Team. We are looking for candidates who operate sewing machines that embroider names, monogram & decorative designs on different types of garments, household articles & materials. We look for experience in stitch cording, braids, or emblems. CS is always on the cutting edge of technology and a leader in market trends such as Puff embroidery and Metallic thread. Why this role is critical to our organization:

As an embroidery machine operator, you are responsible for the everyday production of orders. These orders may come with must ship status and you are the champion of the completion of the production requirements in a timely manner. It is critical that your focus is on completing these orders with the highest quality and attention to detail.

Position Duties

As an embroidery operator, your duties are to calibrate and control the embroidery machine settings or to oversee sewing embroidery by hand when the job requires it, also ensuring that the embroidery machine is maintained and that you address all minor repairs or inform your supervisor when a persistent issue occurs. Other responsibilities include:

  • Order completion.
  • Follow a set schedule in our internal platform to complete the jobs in the time requested with the guidance of the supervisor and/or manager. Read the order to determine the type and location, thread color, fabric, etc.
  • Load, unload, and register all jobs per day.
  • Proof all jobs with the Supervisor and lead of the department.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and act in a proactive manner.
  • Communicate effectively with staff members to obtain job status and quality of work.
  • Report all issues/errors to the Supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the workstation, ensuring it is clean and organized every day.
  • Clean and grease press accordingly.
  • Perform maintenance of the machines when necessary.
  • Select needle, thread, and thread color, and thread it through machine guides and bobbin.
  • If any supplies are missing, make a list and notify the supervisor or manager.
  • Maintain quality control in every design, especially with jump stitches.
  • Observe sewing operations to detect defects in stitching that indicate machine malfunction and correct problems encountered.
  • Repair defective embroidery or fill in the blanks left by the embroidery machine.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of management.
  • Possessing organizational skills and ability to administer project and time management.
  • Experience with MAC computer system.
  • TAJIMA machine knowledge.
  • Experience in the Merchandising world is a plus.
