Responsibilities:
  1. View and manage cameras and access control
  2. Handle facility emergency calls
  3. Receive information from officers about facilities
  4. Electronically process medical, burglary, trespass/unauthorized entry and life safety alarms signals and dispatch appropriate response personnel
  5. Monitor and accurately record the time calls are received as well as when dispatched, and the time the en-route officer arrives and clears the call
  6. Monitor radio channels of communications for officers in need of backup or assistance
  7. Respond to alarms using electronic monitoring software to assist with the notification of police, fire, or emergency medical personnel
  8. Disarm and re-arm alarms when prompted or as required
  9. Answer 9-1-1 emergency telephone and alarm system calls
  10. Determine the type of emergency, its location, and decide the appropriate response in accordance with Agency procedures
  11. Relay information to the appropriate first-responder agency
  12. Coordinate the dispatch of emergency response personnel to incident scenes
  13. Keep detailed records of all calls

Requirements:
  1. Must possess a TS/SCI
  2. Be physically able to perform all duties and functions as specified for the post they are filling
  3. Possess binocular vision correctable to 20/20 and close vision correctable to Jaeger No. 4 type test for both eyes
  4. Be free of color blindness
  5. Have normal fields of vision and good depth perception, as defined by the Snellen chart
  6. Have hearing which is correctable to normal level hearing with hearing aids. Normal hearing levels are demonstrated by a pure tone audiometry hearing level (HL) of 0 decibels (dB) or lower
  7. Be able to stand continuously for 4 hours at a time.

Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds, but may vary depending on the position. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
