Van de Velde lingerie, listed on the stock exchange for 25 years, continues to grow and is looking for a Communication Manager PrimaDonna.

This role is part of the Marketing Communications team, which is responsible for the content creation for our lingerie brands Marie Jo, PrimaDonna and Andres Sarda and for the Van de Velde group as a corporate brand. In this role you are responsible for the a-z communication for our PrimaDonna brand.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Curious to know what this means concretely? You’ll be working on 5 main result areas, check them out below:

Result area 1: brand identity & guidelines owner

Objective: you watch over the brand essence and the visual and verbal identity of PrimaDonna.

  • You are the owner of the PrimaDonna brand identity guidelines. You make sure your brand’s visual and verbal identity – and therefore also its creative concepts – evolve, stay relevant and at the same time differentiating enough from competitors.
  • You monitor your consumers’ behavior and engagement to have a good understanding of their communication wishes and needs.
  • You make sure the PrimaDonna brand book is always up-to-date and add relevant new topics or chapters (once validated with your main stakeholders). You closely collaborate on the brand book with the graphic designer.
  • You ensure that the verbal and visual branding guidelines are respected both in- and outside of the company. You ensure all outgoing content is on-brand, consistent and therefore has the most optimal impact.

Result area 2: content strategy & development content calendar

Objective: you are responsible for the content strategy & the development of the content calendar of PrimaDonna.

  • Starting from a strong understanding of your brand’s essence, consumer insights, USPs and content buckets, you determine the PrimaDonna content strategy.
  • You define opportunities for storytelling and content creation and build the PrimaDonna content calendar.
  • You are in the driver’s seat, but you make sure to align on a regular basis with your colleagues from the different channels (Social Media, PR, community, brand marketing) on content calendar, content creation needs, timings and messages.

Result area 3: visual content creation

Objective: you are responsible for all campaign & seasonal shoots of PrimaDonna.

  • You are in the lead in the whole shoot process (pre-production, alignment, planning & validation, shoot organization & post-production follow-up).
  • You align with the Sr. Communications manager on content strategy, visual identity and messages, but you take full ownership of the execution.
  • You brief external partners about the (visual) identity of your brand.
  • You evaluate after each shoot and constantly look for ways to improve the process, the team, the way-of-working and the outcome.
  • You are owner of the PrimaDonna content creation budget.

Result area 4: verbal content creation

Objective: you are responsible for all copy of PrimaDonna.

  • You define and watch over consistent implementation of your brand’s tone-of-voice. You constantly improve and monitor.
  • You make sure fixed copy about your brand is spread and used in- and outside the organization.
  • You give clear and consistent briefings to both copywriters and translation agencies.

Result area 5: stakeholder management

Objective: you are the expert and SPOC for all communication about your brand. The key to success in your role is to ensure that all stakeholders within marketing and other departments are involved and informed where necessary.

  • You connect, you align, you inform your stakeholders timely and proactively so that every colleague understands the content strategy of your brand and works with the same KPIs, timings and messages in mind.
  • Thanks to your communication and collaboration skills, everyone can prepare his or her part on time, and knows which content is planned when & on which channels.
  • You make sure you have consulted and informed the right stakeholders for each project, so the expectations and outcome are clear.
  • Your main stakeholders are the PrimaDonna Brand manager, the graphic designer, the social media manager, the PR specialist and the design team.

As our Communication Manager PrimaDonna you will work closely with colleagues in a lot of different marketing roles (comm, social media, PR, brand, graphic design) but will also liaise with the PrimaDonna design department. Your external contacts will be production companies, creatives, copywriters and translation agencies.

  • You are structured, well-organized and able to manage different projects at the same time.
  • You have strong affinity with copywriting.
  • You have affinity with organizing photo and video productions. Experience is considered as a plus.

  • You are passionate about fashionable lingerie that makes a difference in women’s lives.
  • You are fluent in English and Dutch (knowledge of German and French is a plus).
