LexisNexis is seeking a recently practicing attorney with expertise in litigation to develop online legal content, products, tools, and solutions for attorneys. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in litigation practice and a deep understanding of litigation workflows. This role involves using practical legal knowledge to inform content development and guide the product’s strategic direction.
As a Content Manager, you will apply your litigation subject matter legal expertise to Practical Guidance. You’ll write, create, and edit thought leadership content and network with attorney authors. You will stay on top of the latest legal and practice developments to drive strategic development and delight customers.
Responsibilities:
- Create and update authoritative, accurate, and up-to-date practical insights on various procedural and substantive litigation topics in state and federal courts.
- Manage the end-to-end development of content and features aligned with business strategy and goals.
- Participate in team initiatives and support managers and other business partners (Sales, Marketing, Technical Product Managers) to drive commercial success.
- Regularly gather and integrate customer feedback to create useful legal content, tools, and resources.
- Recruit, manage, and edit content created by external authors to ensure timely delivery.
- Make recommendations for content development strategy and assist in product design.
- Stay informed about practice area trends and news.
- Monitor the competitiveness of the product offering.
- Think creatively about tools and solutions to evolve the product.
- Represent the content and practice area within the organization and externally.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning, experimentation, and collaboration.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience as a state and federal court litigator
- Deep subject matter knowledge of the litigation workflow (i.e., drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, etc.) in one or more of the following substantive areas: commercial litigation, securities litigation, white collar government investigations/litigation, intellectual property litigation, financial services litigation
- Ability to manage and edit content created by external authors in one or more of the following substantive areas: criminal litigation, trusts and estates litigation/will contests, real estate, insurance litigation, life sciences litigation, healthcare litigation, environmental litigation, employment litigation, data security and privacy litigation, family law litigation
- Excellent writing, editing, and analytical skills
- Solid communication and presentation skills
- Highly organized, self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and conducting online legal research
