Scout Productions is seeking a fashion-obsessed creator to develop and produce compelling content for social platforms surrounding our new brand that celebrates fashion disruption. This role is centered around daily content creation with a goal of building a growing community and engaged audience. The ideal candidate has the technical skills to create and share compelling social content (videos, photos, live, collabs, etc.) along with a strategic understanding of how to build audiences while shaping an ownable social voice.

Scout, the executive producers of Netflix’s Queer Eye + other streaming documentaries and unscripted series, is known for their inclusive, culturally relevant storytelling through their unscripted, documentary and digital programming. The Social Content Creator should demonstrate a genuine commitment to inclusion and equity to fully support our staff, casts and online followers.

The Social Content Creator will generate new work, update existing material and help manage and evaluate all social media and digital activity in line with our corporate and show-specific plans and our business strategy, making sure we are posting content that engages our audiences and reflects the full extent of our work.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years experience creating social content specifically in the fashion space
  • A fashion-forward individual who is familiar with the interplay between social media dynamics and fashion trends
  • A talented and visionary storyteller with a unique voice with copywriting skills to create emotional connections
  • A dynamic, skilled video creator and editor
  • Excellent planning and communication skills working with multiple internal teams

Responsibilities:

  • Creating, producing and posting weekly content across the brand’s social channels (prioritizing Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts)
  • Monitoring channels for comments and interactions, and engaging with the community of followers through comments, replies, re-posts, etc.
  • Maintaining a consistent brand image across content, reflecting the brand’s personality, values, and voice
  • Brainstorming audience growth strategies by thinking of creative ways to engage the community of fans, as well as bringing in new fans
  • Researching, identifying, and staying ahead of relevant content ideas based on current events, trends, and topics that align with the brand’s mission, target audience, and core values
  • Organizing physical and digital projects, files and assets
  • Understanding and streamlining production workflow processes
  • Partnering closely with Director, Marketing and Engagement + CCO to ensure all content aligns with the brand and style guidelines, best practices, and design principles
  • Updating a content calendar to ensure a consistent flow of content across different platforms and marketing channels
  • Ensuring all projects are launched on time and meet project requirements; keeping management notified of progress and/or deviation from project schedule (deliverables, milestone dates, resources, etc.)
  • Managing all social media posting and performance monitoring to ensure creative quality and cohesion
  • Monitoring and amplifying all relevant show, Scout and talent press
  • Utilizing analytical tools and platforms to measure and analyze campaign performance and derive actionable insights.

What you need to be successful:

  • Passion for fashion and pop culture
  • Knowledgeable in a variety of photo/video editing apps for the creation of social assets
  • Experience in social content creation (photo, video)
  • An eye for aesthetic curation and cohesive visual and written storytelling
  • Expertise across social media platforms, specifically TikTok and Instagram
  • Organization & flexibility
  • Working knowledge of performance data analysis & synthesis
  • Facility with social listening and analytics tools
  • Based in New York or surrounding areas preferred
