Duties:
- Write persuasive, well-researched and search-friendly legal content for a variety of practice areas, including: criminal defense, family law, personal injury and immigration.
- Develop articles, press releases, and blog posts related to the legal industry that are engaging for readers.
- Perform keyword research and analyze website performance data to enhance the effectiveness of content.
- Prepare content for the web using basic HTML.
- Develop meta and title tags for online content according to best SEO practices.
- Create and optimize various online listings and social profiles for legal professionals and law firms.
- Refine existing content through substantive copyediting and optimization.
- Analyze keyword rankings and make improvements to web pages to increase SEO performance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- A strong command of grammar, syntax, and audience.
- Type at least 60 WPM.
Ideal Candidate:
- Able to perform scholarly research and develop unique, high-quality legal content.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Able to thoroughly proofread content and implement improvements.
- Can incorporate constructive criticism into projects and overall writing style.
- Experience in the use of Social Media for businesses is a plus.
- Knowledge in the criminal justice or legal industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a plus.
- Experience with ChatGPT or other AI language models is a plus.
- Experience with WordPress is a plus.
- Experience with SEO and link-building strategies is a plus.
- Experience with basic HTML and CSS is a plus.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop is a plus.
