We’re looking for a creative, proactive, and adaptable Digital Design Specialist to join our dynamic and fast-paced Creative Services team at Ilitch Sports & Entertainment. This role focuses on providing essential design support for marketing and ticketing, working with digital assets across multiple platforms, and supporting brand initiatives for Detroit Tigers. This designer will play a key role in empowering the marketing and ticketing teams by implementing and managing a digital template platform (such as Adobe Express or an equivalent), creating versatile templates, and assisting with photo and social media support.

This position requires a flexible schedule, including availability for games, nights, and weekends. Ideal candidates will have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, a passion for sports—especially baseball—and a dedication to teamwork and brand consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Digital Template Platform Implementation, Management & Support
    • Lead the implementation and management of a digital template platform (e.g., Adobe Express or an equivalent) to enable efficient content creation for the marketing and ticketing teams.
    • Design and maintain user-friendly templates and assets to streamline design processes.
    • Roll out training, support, and manage ongoing updates for the selected platform to ensure effective usage by team members.
    • Provide tech support, troubleshooting, and guidance for the marketing and ticketing teams in their use of the platform.
  • Digital Design & Template Creation
    • Design digital assets, including social graphics, web ads, and email content, to support ticketing, marketing, and promotional campaigns.
    • Collaborate with Art Director and designers to ensure campaign and brand consistency across all digital platforms.
  • Game Day & On-Demand Support
    • Provide timely, flexible support for last-minute requests and updates, including game nights, weekends, and other events as needed.
    • Partner with the social media team to provide timely, on-brand visuals for live coverage as needed, without being required to attend games.
  • Photo Assistance & Management
    • Capture photos at games, community events, and other team-related activities as needed.
    • Utilize photo editing skills to enhance images as needed and ensure optimal presentation across digital media.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with marketing and ticketing teams to understand project requirements, deliver solutions, and manage workload expectations.
    • Maintain a positive, solutions-oriented approach, embracing challenges and high-pressure situations with a can-do attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Advertising or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in digital content design; sports industry experience and knowledge of baseball preferred.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to an always-changing environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a proven ability to work effectively in a team.
