Arkansas State Mid-South is hiring: Multi-Media Content Developer in West Memphi

Summary: The Multi-Media Content Developer reports to the Director of Marketing. This position supports ASU Mid-South’s marketing brand by creating high-quality original content for all digital products, including the College’s website, social media platforms, email marketing, plasmas, and other platforms. Requires excellent communication skills, knowledge of the College’s various audiences and constituencies, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a strong attention to detail, including the ability to adhere to deadlines.

Responsibilities include:

1. Collaborating with the Marketing Director to develop content goals and strategies for web, social media, plasma, and video marketing;
2. Collaborating across divisions to concisely communicate creative, customer-focused, and student-friendly content;
3. Utilizing multimedia techniques to effectively promote student activities and campus events;
4. Managing distribution of content through various channels such as social media, plasma, and web;
5. Creating new content and managing existing content, to include ensuring accuracy and timeliness, as well as consistency with regard to messaging and brand;
6. Analyzing digital engagement metrics to gauge content effectiveness;
7. Performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

1. Minimum of an Associate Degree (Bachelor’s preferred) in digital media, marketing, mass communication, graphic design, or related experience.
2. Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to proofread and edit.
3. Good photography skills and a working knowledge of video production and editing.
4. High degree of computer literacy, including experience with WordPress, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro, as well as other Adobe Creative Cloud products.
5. Strong knowledge of SEO best practices.
6. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, and an ability to work effectively without constant oversight.
7. Ability to work a flexible schedule, as needed and with advance notice, to attend and photograph/video college events, which may occur during weekend and evening hours.

Starting Salary: $35,000, with full college benefits.
