Social Media Content Specialist/Graphic Designer

The Marketing Team at Patrick Dealer Group is looking for a Social Media Content Specialist/Graphic Designer to build new content while improving upon the information we already display on our social media platforms and online listings.

Someone who is responsible for the contribution of information to any media, especially digital media. The successful candidate needs to have a strong understanding of SEO and the effects it has on Google rankings. A good SEO writer must be able to use keywords effectively to help our readers find our content in search engines while creating eye-catching graphics for our ads to stand out.

Your goal is to help the Marketing Team gradually achieve superior customer engagement, website traffic, and revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media & online listings marketing road map (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Google My Business, Yahoo, Bing, etc). You should have a solid understanding of how each of our social media channels works and how to optimize content for engagement.

Job Type: Full-time Hourly Monday thru Friday with some Saturday during planned events

Starting Hourly Rate: $25.00 to $28.00 /hour based on experience

Position Location: Genesis of Schaumburg 660 E. Golf Rd. Schaumburg, IL

Working Conditions: Non-smoking office environment, using a computer, telephone, and other office equipment daily.

Note: Ability to travel as needed to support departmental and associated functions, including events. Ability to work outside regular business hours when necessary for website updates and maintenance.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage the company’s social media profiles and strategy, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and online listings.
  • Create effective online marketing campaigns that build brand recognition, customer loyalty, and engagement.
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns with sales, service, and parts activities.
  • Develop, execute, and monitor all social media paid advertising campaigns across Facebook and Instagram.
  • Develop organic content according to brand that is relevant and entertaining to the target audience and current followers.
  • Design and create marketing collateral for advertisements, print, promotions, and social posts in sync with brand standards.
  • Research and organize facts and sources.
  • Blog posts for each location (2 per month).
  • Email/Employee newsletters quarterly.
  • Video marketing/editing a plus.
  • Reputation Management for each of our locations.
  • Respond to inquiries in inboxes across channels, actively engage with comments left on posts, user-generated content, and monitor overall brand perception.
  • Complete additional tasks assigned by Marketing Manager.
  • Interact with managers/staff to help gain content, photos & videos related to our brands.
  • Participate in event planning and execution with attendance (some Saturdays will be required).

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or relevant field, with 2-4 years’ experience preferred.
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop, and LightRoom. Video editing experience a must.
  • Proven track record of building engagement and followers in previous roles.
  • Experience and working knowledge of major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.).
  • Experience with an enterprise social media management tool (Zoho Social, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Facebook Business Manager, Business Locations Settings, Ads Manager, and Facebook Pixel.
  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS.
  • Basic to expert understanding of the Automotive Industry.
  • Solid understanding of SEO best practices.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication (written, oral, interpersonal) and grammar skills.
  • Time management and planning a must.
  • Strong project management skills with an ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects.

Requirements for eligibility:

  • Clean driving record.
  • Willingness to submit to a drug screen and background check.
  • 19 years of age or older.
