To be effective, an individual must be able to perform each job duty successfully:
- Serve as the marketing channel manager for crisis communications, working with high-level executives on development and execution of urgent communications.
- Proficient in English, with expertise in content and copyediting for style, grammar, accuracy, formatting, jargon, spelling, and punctuation.
- Attentive to detail with experience writing and editing clear, engaging, and useful product, service, and executive-level business documents.
- Develop external communication pieces and messaging on sensitive matters to elevate awareness, drive consideration, and ultimately increase brand preference.
- Establish critical path, milestones, and delivery dates for projects, reviewing stakeholder deliverables to ensure they meet acceptance criteria.
- Anticipate needs, make recommendations, and assist with the organization’s communication strategy and messaging needs.
- Manage projects from inception to completion, including the organization of project teams to complete objectives.
- Support the development and maintenance of editorial calendars, marketing style guides, and communication strategies.
- Maintain content strategy forecast in collaboration with marketing team and business stakeholders.
- Partner to define requirements for messaging templates and standards for stakeholder use.
- Lead campaign discoveries and brainstorm meetings to prepare communication plans and creative briefs.
- Facilitate communication campaign debrief meetings to gather lessons learned and provide campaign performance data.
- Manage content and engagement analytics throughout communication campaigns to assess messaging performance.
- Develop and apply a metric system and benchmarking for output of marketing messaging.
- Comply with all regulations as required by law, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act and other regulations.
- Work with compliance team to ensure regulatory and legal compliance in all messaging.
- Work with marketing leadership to understand markets, growth opportunities, and performance standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

Experience
- Minimum of eight years of strategic content management, including data analysis.
- Minimum of ten years of experience writing and editing engaging business documents.
- Financial industry background preferred.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Business, or related field. Education must be from an accredited institution.
- Five years of additional experience in a progressive communications or marketing work environment may be substituted in place of a bachelor's degree.
Licenses, Certificates, Registrations
Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or other project certification preferred.
Computer/Office Equipment Skills
Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Managerial Responsibility
May lead a small team of up to five and leads high-profile project teams.

- Ability to communicate sensitive matters professionally.
- Ability to document outcomes and present information appropriately for stakeholders.
