Calling all creatives!
Take on a meaningful role at Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney as a short-term creative practitioner. In our new Women’s Only community project, we are introducing textiles and upcycling activities to boost wellbeing and skills. We plan to run 1 textiles and 1 upcycling group per week. We are looking for experts in their fields to come on board and share knowledge and practices with women in our community.
To apply: Send your CV & covering letter/portfolio to laurencesmith@emmausnw.org. Please read our information pack on the Women’s Only community here. Once invited to interview, please prepare a pitch for an 8-week programme of either textiles or upcycling sessions for up to 5 women. The sessions should be therapeutic and mindful while also creating items which can be sold in our social enterprises.
All materials needed for the sessions will be provided; however, please include a plan of what you will need and an idea of any potential costs in your pitch. This must also include equipment if necessary.
The sessions will be run in 4 terms, and the practitioners should be available for at least one of the following slots:
- February to March: 8 weeks
- April – May: 8 weeks
- August – September: 8 weeks
Sessions will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Saturday from 10am – 3pm.
