The Lead, Creative Services position supports video, motion graphics, photo and live broadcast/event efforts across the L3Harris Creative Center of Excellence. The selected candidate should be passionate about storytelling and digital innovation and be capable of leading projects from concept to completion, as demonstrated in prior roles. They will align closely with project managers to create dynamic content for diverse channels, capturing and producing both brand and technical content in highly engaging ways to educate and inspire audiences. They must be capable of utilizing new and emerging technologies, including virtual reality, artificial intelligence and web/broadcast technologies, and have proven experience working in a variety of locations and with stakeholders at all levels.

This role requires an enthusiastic visionary with an ability to develop industry-leading visuals. It reports to the Senior Manager of Creative Services - Video, Photo and Animation.

Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, produce, shoot and edit engaging videos to support internal and external marketing and communications campaigns across the enterprise.
  2. Define and organize clear goals and objectives using project management tools in consultation with key stakeholders and project managers.
  3. Maintain and operate a state-of-the-art broadcast studio, ensuring strict process control and collaboration with executive teams to ensure live event success.
  4. Meticulously manage video, motion graphics, live event and photography requests to deliver high-quality, on-time dynamic content.
  5. Develop scripts/storyboards for creative messaging.
  6. Assist in keeping projects on budget, while informing leadership of project budgetary issues during the project life cycle.
  7. Monitor and identify relevant training opportunities and industry best practices.
  8. Perform benchmarking exercises; identify and test new trends and tactics.
  9. Ensure all creative projects adhere to enterprise-wide brand standards.
  10. Collaborate effectively with CHQ and segment marketing and communications strategists.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Video Production/Telecommunications, Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field and minimum 9 years or graduate degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience in advertising, communications, or comparable visual design fields.
  2. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  3. 4-6 years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite programs, Premiere, and After Effects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. A keen and creative sense of visualization and knowledge of video production techniques.
  2. Expertise in live meeting tools, including Zoom webinars and Teams environments.
  3. Animation skills in 2D and 3D to create animated video content.
  4. Knowledge and experience with HTML/CSS.
  5. In-house and/or agency experience.
  6. Experience with video scheduling and project management.
  7. Familiarity with tech-focused media publications.
  8. Experience in defense, space, aerospace or other high-tech cultures.
  9. Strong written and verbal communications skills; ability to share vision, positioning and messaging information with various stakeholders.
  10. Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and make good judgment decisions in a highly charged environment.
  11. Proven track record of exceeding customer expectations and providing innovative and timely solutions.
  12. An effective team member and leader with a positive approach who can think outside the box and problem-solve in real time.
