Newsmax Media Inc is hiring: Web Editor in Boca Raton

Job Responsibilities:

1. Focus on politics and national news with health, financial, and world news coverage.
2. Generate story ideas and approve story ideas from staff and freelancers.
3. Write accurate, strong, and engaging headlines and copy.
4. Some reporting may be required.
5. Ability to work and interface with the social media team.
6. Write and report quickly on breaking news, assigning stories to key staff.

Position Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
2. 3+ years experience as an editor for online or other publications.
3. Computer knowledge: document editing software, like Microsoft Word.
4. Must be highly organized to track workflow at a fast pace.
5. Experience using online CMS or ability to learn.
6. Great communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Understanding of traffic analytics.
8. Ability to multi-task and work on deadlines.
9. Position is based in either New York City or Boca Raton, Fla. Office, but remote contract work is also considered.
