smartdept. is searching for a Video Editorfor a Creative Agency client. The ideal candidate will come with prior experience editing movie and TV trailers. This is apart-time,fully remote, contract opportunity.

What You’ll Do:

• Craft compelling and visually stunning trailers for movies and TV shows, ensuring they capture the essence of the content and engage the target audience.
• Develop narrative arcs within the trailers that effectively convey the tone, genre, and key elements of the film or show.
• Review and organize raw footage, select the most impactful shots, and assemble them into a cohesive and exciting trailer.
• Work closely with producers, directors, and marketing teams to understand their vision and incorporate feedback into your edits.
• Provide creative input on trailer structure, pacing, and music to enhance the overall impact and effectiveness of the trailer.
• Ensure all trailers meet high-quality standards, including visual consistency, sound design, and adherence to brand guidelines.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines while maintaining a high level of creativity and precision.

What You’ll Need:

• Proven experience in video editing, particularly with a focus on movie and TV show trailers. A strong portfolio showcasing previous work is essential.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro. Knowledge of After Effects and color grading tools is a plus.
