Job Summary: Evaluates client/project needs, conceptualizes ideas, and creates visual designs using sophisticated computer equipment and software programs to produce artwork for marketing materials within established budgets. Executes innovative, creative ideas and concepts for page layouts, covers, digital products, web banners, and other promotional material, in collaboration with education team members and UPCC Leadership. Assures branding and logo consistency. Proofs all work for accuracy. Utilizes various programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) to create deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and update a variety of digital learning solutions and marketing materials (including design, delivery, implementation, and evaluation).
- Coordinate the creation of training programs.
- Assist in needs analysis and draft training proposals.
- Collaborate with internal/external customers to understand learning needs.
- Create collateral with graphic design skills to promote trainings and other UPCC programs as needed.
Work Environment and Level of Frequency typically required: Nearly Continuously: Office environment.

Nearly Continuously: Sitting, hearing, listening, talking. Often: Repetitive hand motion (such as typing), walking.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, or a related area, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) plus 3 years of related experience and a portfolio at the time of the interview required; demonstrated effective communication skills; the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines; and a commitment to provide excellent customer service required. Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.
Preferences:
- Visual design skills (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
- Comfortable with current technology and desire to learn new software and/or applications
- Critical thinking skills
- Experience using audio/video editing software
- Instructional design skills
- Knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
- Experience with LMS (e.g., Canvas) and authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline)
- Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint
- Demonstrated use of data to measure successful outcomes from online training programs
