smartdept. is searching for a Graphic Designer for a luxury travel client located in Miami, FL. The ideal candidate will come with 3+ years of experience. This is a full-time, fully remote, contract opportunity. Compensation for this position is expected to be $28-$32/hour depending on experience level and fit.
You will be the visionary steward of the brand’s visual identity, shaping every creative touchpoint—campaigns, websites, itineraries, and media photography—to embody an uncompromising ultra-luxe aesthetic. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in crafting a visual identity that resonates with the world’s most discerning travelers. This role demands expertise in both traditional and digital design—particularly with HTML5 ad creation—and an innate understanding of the nuances of a luxury brand aesthetic.
What You’ll Do:
- Website Design:
Continuously refine and elevate imagery on the website to reflect the pinnacle of ultra-luxury travel.
Design compelling website elements, including banners, landing pages and hero images, with meticulous attention to detail.
Ensure seamless integration across desktop and mobile platforms to provide an impeccable user experience. - HTML5 Ads & Digital Campaigns: Develop visually stunning and technically precise HTML5 ads and other digital assets to drive performance in online advertising campaigns.
- Marketing Collateral: Create eye-catching brochures, digital newsletters and postcards, one-pagers and other print and digital materials that reflect the brand.
- Social Media & Digital Engagement: Design engaging social media graphics (posts, stories, reels, and ads) tailored to inspire exploration and amplify the brands digital presence above the noise.
- Image Library Management: Curate and manage a comprehensive image library, ensuring all visuals meet a standard of excellence.
- Itinerary Image Gallery: Design and maintain a world-class itinerary image gallery that captivates and inspires, recognizing the pivotal role exceptional imagery plays in driving sales and crafting immersive travel experiences.
- Photo Management: Oversee the acquisition and subsequent organization of images from diverse sources, including professional photographers, luxury lodges and guest contributions. Prioritize editing and refinement to align with project timelines and creative goals.
- Luxury Brand Storytelling: Translate the brand ethos of sustainable luxury, cultural authenticity and transformative experiences of awe, joy, and beauty into a cohesive and compelling visual narrative across all platforms.
- Consistency & Excellence: Ensure meticulous adherence to brand guidelines, ensuring every image reflects the company's uncompromising commitment to an ultra-luxe aesthetic.
- Collaboration: Partner with the marketing team, CMO and external stakeholders to align design solutions with the broader marketing and business objectives.
- Trendsetting & Innovation: Stay ahead of emerging trends in design, photography and technology to continually elevate visual identity, positioning the brand as a trendsetter in luxury travel.
What You’ll Need:
- Minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in graphic design, ideally with experience in luxury branding or working with high-net-worth clientele.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) with additional expertise in HTML5 ad creation and knowledge of tools like After Effects or Premiere Pro (a plus).
- Proven track record of designing for both digital (websites, ads, social media) and print formats, with a portfolio that showcases creativity, attention to detail and luxury brand experience.
- Strong understanding of luxury market aesthetics, including typography, imagery and layout principles that appeal to a high-end audience.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, thriving in fast-paced environments and capable of managing multiple design projects simultaneously.
- A love for travel (a plus!)
