Glorioso’s Italian Market is currently seeking a Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team. This role will support the Marketing Manager in generating visual communications in our retail store and culinary platform. To be successful, this position requires someone who creates designs that are visually appealing, well-structured, and on brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day design coordination in both print and digital formats working on a wide range of creative projects.
  • Incorporate hand-drawn artwork, pre-drawn art, photography, and type to develop designs that are creative, on brand, and resonate with our customers.
  • Design marketing materials for our retail environment, including in-store signage, menus, shelf talkers, counter cards, flyers, brochures, and retail displays.
  • Design marketing materials for our culinary platform including class calendar, brochures, and promotional signage.
  • Design and illustration assistance for our private label products.
  • Design and illustration assistance of wearable and branded merchandise.
  • Production of labels and branded product cards for retail products.
  • Assist in creating, posting, and updating classes & events.
  • Assist in creating email campaigns for events and product features.
  • E-commerce and website administrative tasks.
  • Assist with product photography.
  • Work collaboratively under the guidance of the Marketing Manager to coordinate the graphic design needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge and strong understanding of design principles, graphic fundamentals, typography, color theory, and layout techniques.
  • Comfortable working on conceptual as well as templated projects.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong proofreading.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, time management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn and be comfortable with multiple work platforms.
  • Effective communication - written, electronic, and verbal.
  • Knowledge of creative trends and best practices across all forms of media.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong people skills, friendly, and reliable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fine arts, visual arts, studio art, or illustration.
  • 2-3 years of professional graphic design experience.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional creativity and design skills with a strong portfolio showcasing professional work in a range of creative projects across various mediums.
  • Video editing experience preferred (i.e. Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere).
  • Preference for a dynamic work environment where you will be doing something different every day and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Previous professional design experience required.
  • Background in food or hospitality industry preferred.

  • Position is full-time in the office, Monday through Friday.
