BODYARMOR is looking for a Part-Time Temp Graphic Designer our team.

The Graphic Designer is responsible for execution of comprehensive brand design and graphic design projects for the BODYARMOR brand. Successful candidates will demonstrate superior ability to drive design thinking from ideation thru execution and refinement. As part of the BODYARMOR Design team, you will partner closely with internal design team members plus a cross-functional team to deliver final design solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Create high quality design solutions by directly executing design and production assignments, leveraging internal/external design resources, from concept through production.
  • Design and deliver a variety of visual content, including point-of-sale, display graphics, out-of-home, social media graphics, digital advertising, decks, toolkits, and marketing collateral.
  • Extrapolate design concepts to various specs for digital and print mechanicals
  • Work with a variety of assets, such as product and athlete photography, to develop compelling communication and marketing tools.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to execute complex campaign ideas as a team across myriad consumer touch points.
  • QC production and mechanical output to ensure executional excellence
  • Maintain server protocols and asset management organization
  • Be able to explain creative choices to creative director and, at times, cross-functional team and convince them of the best methodologies for executing said creative assignment
  • Work independently with little supervision, receiving a moderate level of guidance and direction
  • Solve problems, that can range from typical to challenging, drawing from prior experience and analysis to come up with recommendations
  • Responsible for making improvements or recommended enhancements to processes, systems, or work output to enhance creative effectiveness
REQUIREMENTS:
  • This is a part-time temp role (20-30 hours per week) that requires working on-site Tuesday – Thursday at our corporate office in Whitestone, Queens.
  • Hourly rate is $36/hour.Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • 2-5 years relative experience
  • College degree in graphic design or related field
  • Accomplished print & digital production experience with a passion for detail
  • Keen eye for color theory, design composition & layout
  • Experience with both print and digital design media and how to intersect the two
  • Design from concept to development marketing collateral and point-of-sale material with support of brand guidelines and established campaign direction
  • Design and layout established brand guidelines, visual identity systems and marketing/sale toolkits using multiple platforms including PPT that are clearly understood by others.
  • Understanding of effective social media design & animation/motion experience desired
  • Interest in learning production skills such as photography/photoshoot direction, Video/Film (shooting/editing/direction), retouching and any postproduction processes that provide foundational assets for graphic design output.
  • Ability to provide packaging design execution with oversight from design director
  • Familiar with creative communication and project management tools such as Asana, Trello, and Slack
  • Experience with web design including HTML, WordPress, and other software
  • Strong typography skills
  • Lightning-fast worker & multitasker not afraid by a frenetic pace or work environment
  • Highly proficient skill set in Adobe CS including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, and PowerPoint, working knowledge of 3D rendering software
  • Professionalism and composure while working under tight deadlines and constructive feedback
  • Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills and the ability to work quickly under tight deadlines and competing priorities
  • CPG and/or Sports Marketing design background highly preferred
  • Self-motivated and independent, but enjoys being part of a collaborative environment
