The ideal candidate will have experience in designing eye-catching and effective billboards that capture the attention of passersby. The candidate will be responsible for creating designs that communicate the message of our clients in a clear and concise manner in our Wisconsin and West Virginia markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Create visually appealing and effective billboard designs
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and requirements
  • Develop concepts and ideas for billboard designs

Requirements:

Manages the billboard sale process for national accounts.

Essential Job Functions and Tasks- These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.

  • Procures new sales by completing request for proposals, assisting potential customers with billboard availability, sending contracts, negotiating contract terms, arranging payments. Follow up on all leads.
  • Manages current accounts by rolling over expiring contracts and up selling where needed.
  • Works with graphic designers to organize design of billboards or accept designs from ad agencies. Ensure billboards are printed correctly, to customer specifications, and posted by the promised time.
  • Works with operations to ensure signs are in the best condition.
  • Assist with the collection process. Contact customers for payments and submit legal collections as needed.
  • Conduct quarterly market rides using personal vehicle, in assigned markets. Market rides can take up to 5 days to complete and may require an out-of-town overnight stay in a hotel.
  • Attend weekly market and Business Development meetings.
  • Manage the Business Development Associate and Representative. Oversee performance of duties, approve timesheets/PTO requests, and conduct annual performance review
  • Performs similar or related duties as required or assigned.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Business, Business Administration, or Marketing is preferred.
  • One to three years of outdoor advertising sales experience or related media sales experience, preferred.

Job Description
BCTV is seeking a driven Media Sales Manager to help build sales for BCTV in key territories. This candidate needs to be creative, insightful and able to develop creative, impactful marketing solutions for partners based on their overall campaign objectives. This position requires aggressive prospecting, demonstration of strong business building skills, attention to detail, and the ability to steward both internal and external partnerships.
