Responsibilities

The Student Leadership & Involvement office oversees community building programs, and seeks a student worker to support programming for commuter students. This position reports to the Associate Director for Recreation & Commuter Engagement.

  • Craft visual and written content for SLI digital and physical platforms to promote Recreation and Commuter Engagement initiatives.
  • Assist in the marketing plan and promotion of SLI programs, including review and maintenance of websites and social media accounts.
  • Create, organize, and coordinate re-usable assets utilized for specific events, programs, and series put on by SLI and Recreation & Commuter Engagement.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with students and staff on short-term and long-term projects that require graphic design.
  • Support student leaders through graphic design.
  • Assist and staff the in-person Fitness spaces and virtual front desk of SLI.
  • Welcome and support the onboarding of new student employees.
  • Serve as support staff and an ambassador for SLI during large-scale community events.
  • Cultivate developmental goals and positional benchmarks with supervisor.
  • Participate in recurring student staff meetings and retreats.
  • Provide a high level of customer service when interacting with students, staff, faculty, community partners, or the general public.
  • Maintain a confidential work environment.

Work Mode

  • Hybrid/Split – Employees hired for this position have regularly scheduled, consistent percentage of time on campus and also work some of the time remotely.

Salary Range

$16-$21/hr

Minimum Qualifications

  • This position requires a Federal Work-Study Award.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office applications.
