Penske Collision Repair Graphics Designer - Fontana, California
A talented Graphic Designer can take concepts and ideas and create visual representations, in both print and other media. The position will have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverable. Collaborating with multiple teams, the Graphic Designer should be able to take written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects.
Major Responsibilities:
- Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with multiple teams on a wide range of materials that may include web pages, presentations, programming collateral, signage, internal communications, newsletters, and marketing materials.
- Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within an established brand identity.
- Develop concepts by hand or with software, and execute original content by determining the ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout.
- Manage the design and uploading process for all project materials, based on best practices for using a content management system.
- Use trend intelligence and knowledge of historical and current markets when designing and executing specific classifications.
- Client interaction, including brainstorming and visualization of an idea or concept.
- Other projects and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Art, or related discipline preferred.
- 3 or more years of experience in professional graphic design, preferably with a creative or marketing agency.
- 1 year of experience in automotive graphics design preferred.
- Ability to work on a wide range of projects and media, using various software programs to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet customer needs/business goals.
- Must be able to obtain input from managers to ensure that designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations.
- Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with marketing team to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to examine existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions that improve design capabilities.
- Must update and maintain internal databases for designs, photography, and video.
- Knowledge of WordPress and content management systems required.
- Photography experience and proficiency with photo-editing software required.
- Must have strong organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, and complete Penske employment application.
Physical Requirements:
The associate will be required to read, communicate verbally and/or in written form; remember and analyze certain information; and remember and understand certain instructions or guidelines. While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be required to stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40lbs/19kg.
Pay: $54,300 - $72,000 or $26/hr. - $34/hr., DOE
