Salary Range or Hourly Rate:

$32,000.00 - $38,000.00 per year

Job Description:

*Hiring for 2024-2025 school year

Responsibilities:

• Manage the school library, ensuring it serves as a hub for learning, exploration, and collaboration.
• Develop and maintain a diverse collection of resources that support the curriculum and encourage reading for pleasure.
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources and information literacy skills into classroom instruction.
• Provide instruction in information literacy, research skills, technology, and digital citizenship to students.
• Foster a love of reading and lifelong learning through engaging library programs and initiatives.
• Stay current with trends and best practices in school librarianship and educational technology.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Elementary Education, or a related field.
• Minimum of one year of experience working in a school setting, preferably as a librarian or educator.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for working with students, teachers, and parents.
• Knowledge of educational technology tools and digital resources.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Library Science, Elementary Education, or related field.
• Familiarity with Common Core State Standards and other educational frameworks.
• Experience developing and implementing library programs and events.
